Today’s UK Column News Extra starts with a story about drones in the skies of Brighton, UK. 

They allegedly swoop on predatory or suspicious behaviour, but how long before we are the targets? 

The conversation then moves to the subject of the UK government. It wants to restrict benefits for alcohol and cigarettes. It is an attempt to try to normalise what you can and cannot do with your money. Comparisons are made with countries that have Digital ID and the impact on the people is discussed.

All in all, the panelists agree that we now head down a very dark, dystopian, road. 

It is an increasingly anti-human road which no-one has asked to travel. 

Civil liberties and a lack of push-back against a surveillance society are explored, as is the lack of awareness from the majority of people about how the future is likely to appear. Anyone who asks questions about where we are headed is branded a trouble maker or conspiracy crank.

The influence of NGOs is also discussed. We look at how much power they wield and the open society that they want to create. This leads to a discussion about why people are not open to different opinions anymore and how 2020 led to a split in society which has never healed. The left and right are now more divided than ever. 

We reflect on the dark days of vaccine coercion and the fallout from the Covid years.
